WoundPedia a not-for-profit involved in the proliferation of interprofessional excellence in the management of patient with wounds announces its intent to create and launch a charitable foundation.
Creating a charitable foundation to help those with wounds has been a personal ambition and goal for Dr Sibbald for some time. He and his team at WoundPedia have been delivering educational programs both nationally and internationally for nearly 2 decades. .
"I am excited to announce that the board of WoundPedia have agreed with our plans to create and launch a charitable foundation focused on delivering education and research programs to improve the delivery of care in the management of those suffering from wounds" Gary Sibbald.
The idea behind the foundation is to expand and fund this expansion through a charitable foundation. This will help those not only within Canada but in geographies where resources are difficult to obtain.
Personal Legacy
Through the several decades of his career both as a clinician and educator Dr Sibbald has chosen too education others to drive the creation of a clinical specialization within wound care. This has been a mission driven by passion and as such given birth to the idea of a charitable foundation that can expand beyond personal and team capabilities.
